Venus Metals Corporation has begun another reverse circulation drilling program at its Sandstone gold project in Western Australia with program aiming to firm confidence in the Range View prospect.

Drilling will target the 90%-owned Range View prospect within the project which is 1.5km along strike from its Bellchambers gold deposit which has a resource of 536,000 tonnes at 1.27 grams per tonne gold for 21,800 contained ounces.

Venus noted that a large portion of the resource – 18,400oz – was classified as indicated.

At Range View the program will test the lateral continuation of high-grade gold that was uncovered during reconnaissance drilling late last year.

This program intersected 11m at 4.69g/t gold from 12m, including 1m at 38.92g/t gold from 20m.

Another hole unearthed 8m at 1.22g/t gold from 30m, including 1m at 4.48g/t gold.
